Notifications are an essential part of user interaction within any digital system. They help keep users informed about important updates, alerts, and actions that need their attention. This guide will walk you through the process of managing notifications, including marking them as read, clearing them, and understanding notification icons.

  1. Locate the Notification Icon:
  • The notification icon is typically found in the top-right corner of the user interface. In the provided system, it is represented by a bell icon.
  • If there are unread notifications, a small colored badge with a number will appear on the icon, indicating the number of unread notifications.
  1. Click the Notification Icon:
  • Clicking on the notification bell icon will open a dropdown or a panel displaying the list of recent notifications.
  1. Understanding Notification Layout:
  • The notification panel will list all recent notifications, usually showing the most recent at the top. Each notification typically includes the sender’s name, a brief description of the notification, and the time it was received.
  1. Interacting with Notifications:
  • You can interact with each notification by clicking on it, which usually redirects you to the relevant part of the application or provides more detailed information.
  1. Mark a Single Notification as Read:
  • Hover over or click on the three dots (ellipsis) next to the notification you wish to mark as read.
